The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of hand luggage and uniforms to intending pilgrims across the state as part of preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise
Flagging off the exercise, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that all intending pilgrims are adequately equipped and well-prepared for their spiritual journey.
He urged Hajj centre officers across the 44 Local Government Areas to effectively coordinate the distribution process to ensure that all pilgrims receive their items in an organised and timely manner.
Matawalle disclosed that the state has successfully completed the processing and collection of visas for its pilgrims, noting that all necessary arrangements for the Hajj exercise have been put in place.
He added that sufficient materials have been provided to cater for all registered pilgrims, including hand luggage, uniforms for men, wrappers and hijabs for women, as well as Hajj guide books.
The Director General also advised intending pilgrims to make proper use of the items and maintain them carefully throughout the exercise.
