APC Primary: Tinubu Wins Across 44 Kano LGAs

President has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Kano State after securing victory across the 484 wards in the 44 local government areas of the state.

The result was announced at the Kano State Government House by Governor , who served as the state collation officer for the exercise. He disclosed that Tinubu polled 500,852 votes to defeat his challenger, Stanley Osifo, who scored 2,675 votes.

Declaring the result, Governor Yusuf announced President Tinubu as the winner and the APC presidential flag bearer for the forthcoming general elections.

 

 

He also expressed confidence that the ruling APC would emerge victorious in elections across the country.

“In my capacity as the state collation officer, I announce as the winner of this election, President Bola Tinubu,” the governor declared, adding that the APC had come to stay in Nigeria’s political landscape.

 

 

Speaking after the exercise, a member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, , described the primary election as transparent, free, and fair.

 

 

The exercise was attended by officials of the , security agencies, party stakeholders, and delegates from across Kano State.
