Bodejo Withdraws from Senatorial Race, Declare Support for Tinubu,  Kefas and Manu

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, an aspirant for the Senatorial Race in Taraba Central Senatorial District has announced his withdrawal from the race and declared support for Sen. Haruna Manu, Gov. Kefas and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Bodejo who spoke through the Director General of his campaign council,  Alhaji Adamu Isa, directed all his supporters to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Agbu Kefas and Senator Haruna Manu in their various bids in 2027 to enable them provide the dividends of democracy to the people of Taraba and Nigeria in general.

According the Director General,  Bodejo’s intention to contest was not to antagonise anyone but his desire was to contribute his own quota to the already existing development process in Taraba Central.

He added that both Governor Kefas and Sen. Haruna Manu have initiated the process of providing the needed dividends of democracy in the state and therefore should be given adequate support in the forthcoming elections.

He reassured that he would remain in the All Progressives Congress (APC) because he has been a founding member and is ready to support the party with all his followers.

Bodejo also said that he does not see politics as a  do or die affair and was ready to abide by the rules of the game.

He urged all his teeming supporters to be calm and come out enmase to vote for the APC in all the elections in 2027.

It could be recalled that Bodejo was arrested by the DSS in Jalingo on May 7th 2026 when he visited the state to continue his consultations with stakeholders over his intention to contest for position of Senator for the Taraba Central Senatorial District.

He was later flown to Abuja and handed over to the EFCC where he has remained in custody up to the time of filing this report.
