The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiyaka Amao says the Service will leverage on the capabilities of sister agencies to secure the nation from any form security threat.
Air Marshal Amao stated this at a Christmas luncheon with troops of the Air Task force Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri.
The Air Chief observed that the contemporary security challenges facing the country require synergy with other Services and robust architecture to contain the situation.
According to him, the Nigerian Airforce recently received a boost with the winging of 26 new pilots and 31 unmanned aerial vehicle operations to improve the air power capabilities.
” in the same vein, I am happy to note that we currently have a total of 195 officers, airmen and airwomen undergoing various training courses abroad cutting across several specialities and trades, Air Marshal Amoa stated”
Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Farouq Yahaya acknowledged that the existing synergy between the military informed the successes recorded in the counter insurgency and other operations in various theaters of conflict.
He charged troops in the frontline to sustain the tempo and continue to fight gallantly.
