Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board said it has concluded plans to begin verification of Pensioners under the Scheme in the state.
The Executive Secretary, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa made this known during a meeting with the Chairman and Secretary of the Niigerian Union of Pensioners, Jigawa State Chapter.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa explained that the exercise will commence on Wednesday 2nd February, 2022 and was not meant to victimize or witch hunt any Pensioner but to maintain up to date payroll system that is devoid of minor in frictions that tends to accumulate for the past three years of constant use.
He further explained that, the exercise will also enhance cleanness of payroll system as well as accord the State opportunity to make necessary update on the details of Pensioners to meet up the present administration’s cardinal goal of ensuring transparency and accountability in all aspects of governance.
Kamilu Aliyu said the exercise will also helps pensioners to fill the missing information on their pay slip.
According to him, all pensioners of MDA’s, LGCs LGEAs, under the contributory pension scheme must attend unfailingly and verified on the specific date set a side for the MDAs as contained in the itinerary of the exercise.
Responding, the state Chairman Nigerian Union of pensioners, Alhaji Umar Sani Babura promised to give all the necessary support and cooperation to achieve the desired objectives.
