Retirees have described the jigawa state government as the best in steering pension scheme in Nigeria.
They stated this in an interview with newsmen at the three day verification exercise at Hadejia local government secretariat.
The Pensioners expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the verification process in Hadejia local government area of the state.
Also speaking shortly after inspecting the exercise, the Executive Secretary of the state and local government contributory pension scheme Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa explained that, the board has so far verified over 3,000 pensioners.
According to him, the board had verified 3,250 state, local government and local education pensioners in 8 local government areas.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa pointed out that, the verified pensioners were from Birnin Kudu, Buji, Gwaram, Miga and Jahun local government areas.
Others also include, Kafin Hausa, Guri while Hadejia local government area is in progress.
He expressed appreciation for the way and manner the exercise is going in the state.
The pension Boss, therefore commended the association of pensioners and local government chairmen for the support and cooperation given to the verification exercise.
Also in an interview with Radio Nigeria, the chairman of Hadejia Local government Alhaji Bala Umar TO who was also verified as pensioner, commended the state pension scheme for the conduct of the exercise.
“The insight, determination and commitment as demonstrated by the Governor and the Executive Secretary in the verification exercise of pensioners is unequalled and highly commendable by Hadejia local government and other stakeholders”~ Bala TO said
He therefore urged pensioners to continue to cooperate with the officials of the board in order to achieve the desired objectives.
