Youth have been advised to acquaint themselves with knowledge on fundamental human right to enable them seek justice and avoid conflict.
The Project Manager Know Your Right Bauchi state chapter Yusuf Mahmood gave the advice during the two day training for youth groups held in Bauchi.
Yusuf Mahmood explained that the Know Your Right Project which intends to trained youth on fundamental human right has selected five hundred to benefit within Bauchi metropolis alone.
He said majority of youth nowadays are harassed by either security personnel or individual due to lack of knowledge on civil right hence the resolve of the project to train them on the principle of right.
The Project Manager who disclosed that the programme was founded by Voice of Nigeria in collaboration with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People of Netherland called on the participants to make use of the opportunity towards promoting peace in the country.
Mahmood added the project is working towards reducing conflicts by 25 percent before the end of this year.
Some of the participants spoken to Saminu Sale Dauda and Fatima Nuhu expressed happiness for being part of the training and pleged to use what they have learnt.
Highlight of the occasion were drama presentation on harassment by security agents and presentation of certificate to the participants.
