The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, Kano command has observed with dismay the unscrupulous attitude of some Cafes and Computer based Test CBT Jamb operators of charging unsuspecting candidates sitting for this year’s 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) rates above the approved four thousand seven hundred Naira (4,700) registration fee.
In a statement signed by the Chief public relations officer f the Command DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi said “This is a clear sabotage of government’s policy which will never be condoned nor tolerated”
It further stated that based on the foregoing, Cafes and CBT centres are forewarned that the official approved registration fee remains N4,700, if anybody is caught charging above this rate is extorting candidates and will be made to face justice.
The NSCDC, Kano command under the pragmatic leadership of Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari fsi spreads its intelligence tentacles and at the same time advising candidates as well as the general public to report centres that charge illegal higher prices to the nearest civil defence office for further necessary actions.
