The Director-General of NYSC, Maj. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim has urged the 2022 Batch ‘A’ corps members to serve their fatherland with passion, adhere to its bye-laws and be good ambassadors.
Ibrahim gave the advice on Thursday during the terminal parade/closing ceremony of the 2022 Batch A orientation course at Kusalla, Karaye Local governments area, Kano.
He added that anyone who violated the NYSC bye-laws and the oath of allegiance would be sanctioned.
The DG advised the corps members to utilise the opportunities of the service year to excel in life.
Ibrahim urged the corps members to take advantage of their enrolment into the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Represented by the State Coordinator, Hajjya Aisha Muhammad, urged the corps members to take advantage of NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) which was carefully designed to equip corps members on wealth creation.
He commended the House of Representatives and, by extension, the entire National Assembly for the progress made so far on the legislative processes on the Bill for the establishment of the Trust Fund, which has not only passed through the second reading, but also subjected to public hearing,
“I wish to passionately appeal to appropriate authorities to facilitate the success of the remaining processes that would bring the trust fund to fruitation,” he added.
He appealed to Corps Employers to accept Corps Members that will be posted to them.
Ibrahim urged the corps members to be security conscious at all times.
