A nongovernmental organization advocating for the positive use of social media and modern technology in collaboration with other agencies and corporate organizations has charged parents and caregivers to ensure proper guidance and counseling of their children for the proper use of social media.
The founder of the SmartClicks Suliyat Idris gave the Charge during a one Day campaign organized for parents and caregivers on how-to guide and counsel their children on how to use social media.
She said how social media is being abused by young people was very alarming, hence there was a need for parents and shareholders to come together and finely tuned modalities of addressing this disturbing issue.

Suluyat Adeleye appealed to parents and guardians to always listen to the problems and worries of their younger ones, so that they would guide them in the right direction and protect them from falling into the hands of bad elements in the society.
In a remark, a veteran journalist and editor in chief of solacebase an online media in kano Abdullateef Abubakar Jos the sensitization workshop was very timely.
He urged parents and guardians to be vigilant about how their children relate to social media and modern technology.
Abdullateef Abubakar Jos Urged the participants of the training to make maximum utilization of the training and ensure that they step down the experience they gathered to the members of their community.
