The Head of programmes Department Express Radio Kano Hajiya Nafisa Murtala has described adequate Mobilzation and sensitization by the media on the passage of the local government Autonomy bill as a key factor to actualizing the Bill.
In their saperate presentations,head of programs department express radio,Hajiya Nafisa Murtala Ahmed,and Malam Nasiru Yusuf of Abubakar Rimi Television, highlighted the key role of all stakeholders on mobilizing, for the successful passage of the bill for the benefit of the people.
Nafisa Murtala disclosed this while presenting a paper at a one day media engagement meeting on the proposed local government administrative and financial autonomy,held in Kano.
She enjoined journalists and other stakeholders to expedite action in collaborating with the needed stakeholders with the aim of ensuring that the objectives were being Achieved.

In his remarks the Kano state chairman of the Nigeria union of journalists,Comrade Abbas Ibrahim, challenged the media in massive advocacy for passage of the bill.
He described the union as a pressure group known to have impacts on the life of Nigerians.
Also speaking a veteran journalists Malam Nasiru Yusuf of Abubakar Rimi Television, highlighted the key role of all stakeholders on mobilizing, for the successful passage of the bill for the benefit of the people.
Also speaking,a former lecturer with the department of mass communication Bayero University Kano,Dr. Maude Rabi’u Gwadabe tasked journalists on consistency in reporting for effectiveness.
He advised journalists to be cautious in reporting sensitive issues that may generate controversy.
“They should be strategic and consider good timing for their reports”
