No fewer than 4000 people have been trained different Skills and traits in kano in the last five Months
The Kano state Coordinator of the NDE Alhaji Idris Sani Yakasai disclosed this at a training session of over 1,300 beneficiaries of various skill acquisition traits held in Kano
He said the directorates trained the beneficiaries on various skill acquisition aimed at making them productive and self relient .
Sani Yakasai expleined that the participants were trained on tailoring, solar installation ,interior decorations, catering (for women only) among others.
Earlier , the Director General of the NDE Malam Abubakar Nuhu represented by Ibrahim Bilkisu Jumada reassured the ommitment of the Agency in the aspect of training and re-retraining of people from different parts of the country with the aim of been self-reliant.
Nuhu said as the federal government can no longer employ every Nigerian, NDE was complementing government’s commitment in giving resettlement loan scheme to the beneficiaries so that they will be more productive and employers of labour.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to radio Nigeria applauded federal governments effort for initiating the programme geared towards the manage of unemployment.
