The majority leader of the National Assembly Rt Hon Alhassan Ado Soguwa has called on Muslims to intensify Prayers for peace and stability in the country.
This was contained in media statement signed by his senior legislative aid Alhaji Auwal Ali Sufi ,and made available to Time Express in Kano.
The new Islamic year message pointed out that it is really a blessing by Allah S.W.T to witness the new year and urged people to abide by the Islamic injunctions for peaceful coexistence.
RT HON Alhassan Ado Doguwa used the opportunity to congratulate the Executive Governor of Kano state, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his commitment and dedication in mapping out policies and programs aimed at moving the state forward.
While commending Imams and Ulamas for being steadfast in prayers, he charged them to maintain the tempo as prayer is the only way out of the present predicament bedevilling the nation.
The majority leader Applauded the commitment and dedication of the Buhari led administration in ensuring peace and uplifting the welfare of the general populace.
He stressed the need for parents to always monitor their children, inculcate moral values among youths and report any suspected person or character to relevant authorities.
