Kaduna state government has expressed worry over high rate of abandoned children across the state.
Kaduna state commissioner for Women affairs, and social Development Hajia Hafsat Baba disclosed this in an interview with newsman at the zazzau emir’s palace in Zaria.

The commissioner stressed the need for parents to desist from deviating from their responsibilities of child upbringing.
Hajia hafsat Baba pointed out that presently the state government has many abandoned children under the ministry .
Also the emir of zazzau MAL Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli charged parents to remember that taking care of their children is a part of their religious obligations .
The emir called on households to acquire basic knowledge to understand the compulsory obligations of taking care of their children.
MAL Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli called on religious organisations to preach to parents on Islamic rules and regulations of proper upbringing of their children.
Some abandoned children who spoke to radio Nigeria, thanked the Kaduna state government for taking care of them and they prayed Allah that one day they meet their parent .
investigation shows that economic factor ,family misunderstanding and lack of religious knowledge are the keys factors for the increase of abandoning children in the country.
