The New Nigeria Peoples Party Gubernatorial Grand mother Hajiya Aishat Ahmad Sufi is dead.
This is contained in a media statement signed by the spokes person of the NNPP Gubernatorial Candidate Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa and was made available to time express Nigeria.
It stated “With the heavy heart and total submission to the will of almighty Allah, we are sadden to announce the passing away of Hajia Aishatu Ahmad Sufi.
The matriarch, is a maternal grandmother to the New Nigeria peoples party His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusif on Friday 12th August 2022.
Hajia Mowa as she was popularly known, died in the early hours of Friday 12th August, 2022 equivalent to 14th of Muharram 1444 A.H. at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Aged 103, Aisha Sufi (Mowa) died after a protracted illness.
Late Hajia Aisha Sufi is survived by her brother Alkali Hussaini Sufi, three of her children which include Malama Khadijatul-Najaatu, the mother of Abba Gida Gida with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The deceased husband, a popular Islamic scholar Sheikh Abubakar Na Wali died in 1965.
She was buried according to Islamic rites as her Janaza took place at Kano Central Mosque today.
