The Member Representing Nasarawa Federal Constituency Hon. Nasiru Ali Ahmad has promised to build a vocational training center and renovation some classrooms at the Government Technical College Kano.
Hon. Nasiru Ali Ahmad stated this when he paid a surprise visit to the school to assess the current situation of the school on Tuesday evening.
The lawmaker pledged to renovate and equip the school to uplift the standard, saying the school has a long history in Kano and has been helping immensely in teaching young people vocational skills so that they can be self-reliant and also provide education to the community.
“I came to this school to see the situation of the school and to see how we can help to solve some of the problems the school is facing as it is a school with a long history that my father was a student of this school,” Nasiru Ali Ahmad said.

Alhaji Nasiru Ali Ahmed reassured his commitment to ensuring that he contributes his quota towards the renovation of the school, stressing that technical education helps in providing skills for self-reliance.
” technical education been taught in the school, help to improve the lives of the younger generation of Nasarawa local government and the entire kano state community”.
“First of all, this school will be renovated and then the equipment will be installed in the classroom workshop, and solar lights will be installed to improve security of the school, we were informed that most of the school teaching materials were stolen from the school.” the Member said

Hon. Nasiru Ali Ahmad noted that the renovation and installation would be condusted step by Steph aimed at ensuring qualitative work, the lawmaker solicited the cooperation of students, teachers, and other stakeholders of the school geared toward achieving the set objectives.
In his speech, the Principal of Government Technical College Kano, Adamu Salisu Dala, commended the foresight and commitment of the lawmaker for forming concern for the condition of the school.
“There is no doubt that if these schools are renovated and provided with vocational training equipment, it will improve the lives of young people, White colar job is no more available in the country, that was why youth are always encouraged to to learn technical skills in order to be self reliance”. Adamu Dala said
He also appealed to the members of the state and federal assembly and other politicians to emulate the good work done by the member Representing Nasarawa Federal Constituency
