Kano Electricity Distribution Company, KEDCO has announced that there will be power outage in some part of Kano state, one if its franchise areas.
In a statement by Ibrahim Sani Shawai,
Deputy General Manager, Corporate Communications of KEDCO on Sunday, the firm identified four affected areas to experience the power outage.
According to him, areas of Danladi Nasidi, Mariri, parts of Hotoro and Maiduguri Road in the state are to be affected.
Shawai said the problem was as a result of the flood that carried away the 33kV tower at Wudil River, affecting the 33/11kV Mariri injection substation.
He however states that the company’s engineers are planning to divert the load of Mariri injection substation to 33kV NNPC feeder.
“Our customers in are hereby informed that there will be power outage in their communities.
“This is as a result of the flood that carried away the 33kV tower at Wudil River affecting the 33/11kV Mariri injection substation.
“Presently, our engineers are planning to divert the load of Mariri injection substation to 33kV NNPC feeder,” part of the statement reads.
“While we apologise for any inconveniences, we herewith assure our numerous customers in the affected communities that KEDCO is working to ensure swift return of power supply to their communities as soon as possible,” Shawai assured.
