President Mohammadu Buhari has described the recent building collapse at the popular GSM market in beirut road Kano and the flood in Kantin kwari market as a great tragedy that affects the whole nation.
President Buhari disclosed this when he paid a sympathy visit to GSM market at Beirut Road Kano.
The president who was Represented by a delegation led by the state minister for works and Housing Alhaji Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub said the tragedies were shocking and heart touching .
He prayed for the repose of the two persons that lost their lives during the building collapse.
” this Is a very sad event and unfortunate ,I bring the greetings of Mr President and sympathy ,I also assure you that president Mohammadu Buhari feels your Pains ,government would do everything possible to support you”
In their separates remarks the National President of mobile phones Association Alhaji Musa Haruna And the kano state chairman of Beirut Road Mobile traders Association Engineer Abubakar Usman described the collapse of the building as unfortunate.
They appealed to the federal state and local governments to support the affected victims.
” over two hundred youths conducts their daily business at this collapse building, now that government has revoked the piece of land were the collapsed building was erected and has converted it to a parking space, the association is looking for an alternative to our members so that they will continue with their normal businesses “
They appreciated the commitment of president Mohammadu buhari for his concern on this tragedies but that occurred at GSM market and Kantin Kwari textile material market.
