Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe has called on residents of the state to respect and leave in peace with one another irrespective of their differences for the development of the state.
Dr Hadiza Balarabe said this when she received a delegation from the Kaduna State Bureau for Interfaith led by the Director-General Tahir Umar Tahir on a courtesy visit at government house.
Dr Hadiza Balarabe stressed the need for the religious leaders to make conscious and deliberate efforts towards ensuring peace exist in the state through their preachings and summon.
The Acting Governor urged the public to ensure that their utterances and relationship with one another promote peace and harmony always .
Speaking with newsmen after the visit, the Director General Kaduna State Bereau for Interfaith AlhajiTahir Umar admonished religious leaders to always preach peace considering that 2023 general elections is approaching.
According to Tahir, preaching peace to the populace would lead to peaceful election and also respect for one another.
He gave an assurance that the Bereau would intensify efforts before 2023 general election to ensure harmony,peaceful coexistence between all faith in the state.
Alhaji Tahir Umar Tahir pointed out that, no meaningful development could be achieve in an atmosphere of rancour and violence.
He however reiterated the Bureau commitment to continue to work towards creating an atmosphere where different faith would understand each other during and after general elections.
