The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps( NYSC)Brigadier General Mohammed Fadah has Charged the management and state coordinators of the scheme to strictly adhere to strategic communication and Emotional Intelligence.
Brigadier General Mohammed Fadah stated this during the opening ceremony of leadership and strategic communication training for members of the NYSC Top management and state coordinators held in kano.
He said the workshop aimed to build the capacity of NYSC staff for higher productivity.
The Director General explained that the training would also serve as an avenue for the review of the agency’s operation to strategize for greater performance.
“At forty-nine, and being at the threshold of its golden Jubilee, NYSC has already accolades for its enormous Contributions to National Development, this is the time to set up efforts towards making more responsive to national needs, especially as Nigeria strives to transform into one of the worlds fastest growing economy”
“I implore the state coordinators to be very circumspect in making public statements, especially during ceremonial speeches and press interviews to move the scheme to greater heights.
Earlier the Director of Special Duties of the Agency Alhaji Musa Abubakar the training was packaged to update and sharpen the skills of operatives of the scheme to meet the evolving demands of the offices.
During the training, former Director General of the National Orientation Agency Mr. Mike Omeri presented a paper titled ” Emerging Trends in Leadership and Best Practices”
The workshop was attended by NYSC Top management, and state coordinators.
