Nigerians have been charged to ensure peaceaful conduct of 2023 general elections for peace, unity and cohesion of the country as a nation.
The Chief Imam of Muslims Foundation Jumuat Mosque GRA Gusau, Dr Muhammad Tukur Sani Jangebe gave the Charge while delivering his Friday Sermon in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
Dr Tukur Jangebe called on Nigerians to choose credible leaders of their choice who can deliver and provide devident of democracy to the people at the grassroots level to alliviate their sufferings.
According to him, the 2023 general elections would be the testing ground for peace and unity of this country as a nation and advised Nigerians to live as brothers and sisters irrespective of their beliefs and ethnic differences.
He urged people of the state to shun politics of thuggery, hate rate, victimizarion, ill- fealings and appealed to them to concentrate on issues affecting the nation and it’s citizenry especially security challenges bedvailing the country.
The Chief imam also urged Muslims to shun any grievances among themselves and to forgive each other to enable themselves to become useful members in their respective societies and to benefit here and hereafter.
He called for unity among the northerners especially elits and politicians in the region and to campaign without using volger statements and abusive language.
Dr Jangebe also called on muslims ummah to intensify prayers for peace and stability to prevail in the state and the country at large.
