Ganduje Names Kano History and Culture Bureau After Late Prof. Sule Bello

Kano State History and Culture Bureau is named after its pioneer Director, late Professor Sule Bello, in appreciation of his immense contributions towards the development of arts, learning, scholarship, history and culture.

He made this known at an occasion to mark One Year Memorial Lectures and Tributes of late Bello, held at Centre for Democratic Research and Training, Mambayya House, Kano, Monday.

Appreciating that, there is a dire need to immortalise important scholars and people who served humanity with all they could.

Adding that, “The legacy of people like Prof Sule Bello should not be left unrememberd and unattended. That is part of the reason why we are here today.”

Assuring that “We will look at the Law establishing Kano State History and Culture Bureau and take it to the State House of Assembly for necessary review, so that it can reflect the new name.”

Governor Ganduje commended the exemplary life well spent by late Bello, adding that, “The state government has already started digitalising the scholarly works of Prof Sule Bello and scholars like him.

That is part of the reason why we are establishing Yusuf Maitama Sule Democratic Research Centre.”
