Ganduje Submits Supplementary Budget to Kano Assembly

Kano state house of assemble has received the 2022 supplementary budget/amendment bill from the office of the executive governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In a letter dated October 2022, submitted to the house, for subsequent scrutiny and approval on the proposed budget amendment, in line with section 122 sub-section A&B of the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The speaker Kano state house of assembly, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari explained that, the proposed supplementary budget of over 43 billion naira, would be spent on personnel cost of over 2 billion, over head cost tagged at over 7 billion and capital expenditure which stood at over 33 billion naira.

He highlighted that, the letter pointed out that, the supplementary budget becomes necessary, in view of the need to sharpen the focus of the 2022 budget, to deliver on the objectives and accelerate the completion of priority projects.

The 2022 proposed supplementary budget amendment bill was subjected to further legislative action.

Similarly, the house had also received another letter from the executive, seeking for the upgrading of Sa’adatu Rimi college of education to university of education.

In another development, the house had re-committed Muhammad Abubakar Rimi,Singer and Galadima Markets Kano management amendment law 2022,for amendment of several sections.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after plenary, Majority leader of the house Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari, said the amendment considered in the committee of the whole house include section 8 and 10, while “private partners owners was deleted and “private developers was inserted.
