Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state mourns the death of the mother of the former Commissioner of Commerce Pharm Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai, Hajiya Asma’u Ibrahim Yakasai.
His Excellency Yakasai is the Consul-General of Pakistan in Nigeria, former President Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and founder/Chief Executive Officer of Pharmaplus Nigeria Limited, one of the illustrious sons of Kano.
Describing the late mother, governor Ganduje listed her as one of the leading women of great substance in the state and up Northern Nigeria.
“By mere looking at the kind of children she brought up, one could clearly understand, how disciplined, righteous, caring, loving and quintessential she was. We all lost her guidance, love, ingenuity and clear focus in life,” he mourns.
Governor Ganduje said, “It is therefore on behalf of the government and good people of Kano state, that I am sending our condolences to Pharm Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai, his other siblings and the entire family of the late mother.”
He reiterated that, what remains for all is just to take a leaf from her exemplary life, “May Almighty Allah forgive her mistakes and reward her good deeds with Jannatul Fiddaus.”
