Kano residents celebrate Nigeria @62 peacefully

The Nigeria at 62 independence celebration was going on peacefully and smoothly in kano state.

Our correspondent who went round recreational centers, Childrens park and relaxation centers reports that people were seen with their families and loved ones enjoying themselves to Mark the independence celebrations.

The celebration which began yesterday was kick started by a parade at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano , Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje , Traditional rulers, the security, students ,association and civic society groups attended the grand event ,which was colourful and memorable.

Time Express observed that all the parks in Kano were almost filled up with people dressed in colourful attire , who visited the parks to relax and have good time with their love ones.

Alhaji Bello and Mark Obi were among the people who visited a relaxation centern kano with their families to celebrate Nigeria at 62.

They said the independence day needed to be celebrated , despite the challenges the country faced in the last 62 years, yet a lot has been achieved  .

” our leaders have done a lot they sacrifice their lives , time and everything to ensure that Nigeria remains one entity, we need to reciprocate their efforts by being good citizens and law abiding”.

Despite Kano being one of the most peaceful states in the country, Authorities were keen in ensuring that  the security was well taken care of , aimed at ensuring that the independence celebrations was celebrated peacefully.

Security personnel were beefed up at  major places and relaxation centers , and people were going about their normal businesses peacefully.
