The Federal Government has epressed its determination to sustain the tempo of building the capacity of youth for them to be included in the search for peace in order to transform the country nto a bastion of devlopment and progress in the present democrtic dispensation.
Speaking to news men at the opening of 2-Day Capacity Development Workshop on the National Action Plan on Youth Peace and security, organized by Actionaid in conjunction with Disputes Resolution and Development Initiative formerly known as Democratic Action Group(DAG) funded by Global Community Engagement and Reslience Fund(GCERF) held in Kano Tuesday, Assistan Director, Federal Miistry of Youth and Sports Development ,Mr Oyekan Adedoyin said pace and security were indispensable pillars of national development.
According to him no nation could ever deveoped and attain the height of greatness with the issue f peace and securty nott being prioritized addng that the federal government was fully omitted to a cweful scrutiiny of the National Acion Plan on Youth, peace and security in oder to develop the much needed frame work for mplementation

Speaking in the same vien, Project Offer(SERVE III) Actionaid Nigeria Malam Aliyu Adamu said Actionaid in collaboration with the Nigeria Coalition on youth peace andsecurity had concievedto hold a 2-Day workshop in kano State to build the capacity of 50 young people on yps in the Statea adding that the workshop would use cultural and gender sensetive approches that would incorporat maginalized groups
The overall ojective he added, waz to facilitate the maningful engagement and participation of youth in all spectrms of pace and security in Kano State through capacity development
