Aisha Falke’s ‘award night’ sparkles in Kano.

The mega-hall of Meena’s event center on Saturday night of the 26th of November, 2022 was filled beyond the accommodating capacity with some key figures in the Kano business community as well as invitees and guests, who attended the center to witness the night of befitting honor grants to the entrepreneurs who made outstanding services to the booming trading in Kano.

The night gathering titled, Mekadow Business Icon Award, is the brainchild of Aisha Falke – a prominent northern blogger, owner of the northern hibiscus, and mentor in various youthful endeavors.

The event was also organized for entrepreneurship and mentorship primarily for youth, and an actionable approach to decelerate the rate of poverty in the North.

During his presentation, the guest speaker, director of Dangote business school, Bayero University, Kano Professor Murtala Sagagi yearn for cohesiveness and unity among the Kano business community.

“the act of sticking tightly together will re-uplift the Kano business community and will prompt the state government to continue carrying them along,” he said.

Adding that, something urgent must be done to cement the cracking bond posing a setback to trading prosperity in Kano.

Most of the awardees, experienced, Kano business moguls merited during the event, including Alh. Salisu Sambajo, Alh. Sibiu
Bako, Alh Danlami Alhassan among others, unanimously craved the consciousness of those wishing to delve into trading, to imbibe patience and be devoid of the quick-rich syndrome.

While among the successful, upcoming entrepreneurs awarded including Alh Sammani Adamu the proprietor of El-Samad, and Alh Ahmed Sufaye of the Sufi conglomerate enterprises said truthfulness, transparency, and patience under the will of God are the key to their present accomplishments in business.

In her remarks, the event organizer, Aisha Falke was visibly elated and in a joyful mood, and said the sole motive for organizing the event, was to honor the awardees for their decades-long commitment to taking the Kano trading name not only in Nigeria and Africa but globally.

” The approach to entrepreneurship and mentorship are components of the event towards inspiring youth to be reliably independent,” She said.

Falke stressed that this strategy is one among the multiple ways that ought to be adopted to inculcate the spirit of reliance among youth that will replace the ravaging rate of idleness among youths in the north.

She also used the medium to thank those who contributed to the success of the occasion, among them was her husband, the chairman of the occasion, Professor B.Y Abubakar who she described as the ‘catalyst for her encouragement’

The traditional songs and dances were displayed at the event, while snapshots of pictures were taken to make the event memorable.
