A fire outbreak at Badume vegetable market, Bichi local government area, Kano claimed the lives of three people and razed about 100 shops.
Reports indicate that, fire started from a shop at the middle of the popular village market.
Narrating the incident,the public relations officer of the Kano state fire service, PFS Saminu Yusif Abdullahi noted that the agency received an emergency call from one Malam Tsalha .

He highlighted that, a rescue team was quickly mobilized to the scene, where three unknown persons one female and two males including an elderly man with special needs,were trapped in a shop.
“We turned out our men from Bichi fire station”
The public relations officer explained that, the victims were rescued unconscious and later confirmed dead by health officials.
“All victims rescued unconscious and confirmed dead, handed over the victims to Inspector Mukaila Inusa of Bichi police division”
He pointed out that, about 100 temporary shops were completely razed,while the team successfully quenched the fire to avoid spreading to their parts of the market.
“Cause of the incident is under investigation”
Saminu Yusif charged the public to use fire and electrical appliances with care to avoid inferno.
