Kaduna Government to Partner with Interfaith Mediation Center

Kaduna state Ministry for Human services and Social Development is to partner with interfaith Mediation Center for peace and unity across the state.

Assistant director youth development department, Muhammad Lawal yunusa Stated this during the inauguration of Community Initiative to promote peace CIPP Zaria zone .

Muhammad Lawal explained that the effort of the interfaith mediation center of promoting peace among the communities is welcome development in the state.

He said when communities support peace and unity it would bring meaningful development to Kaduna State.

The assistant director called on new excos of the community initiative to promote peace in Zaria zone and work as a team to achieve their objectives.

He added that the participants have been trained on the importance of Early Warning, Early Response system to maintain peace among the communities member.

In an interview the official from interfaith mediation center Kaduna mr Samson Auta pointed out that the center had already established three CIPP across the state to promote peaceful coexistence among communities.

Samson Auta said promoting peace is a responsibility of every citizen, and they need to report nacessary information through the right channels.

He added that individuals can volunteer to report any breaking of law and order to community leaders, Religious and traditional leaders to take necessary steps to resolve the dispute so as to stop it from generating into violence within the communities.

Some youth expressed their interest and happiness for giving them opportunity to attend the training Early warning, Early response to promote peace .
