The Borno Council has observed monthly sanitation exercise at the Press Centre in Maiduguri.
This is the first time NUJ in Borno is observing the monthly exercise in recent years.
Members of NUJ under the leadership of comrade Dauda Iliya came out in their numbers to actively participate in the sanitation.
Permanent Secretary Ministry for Environment, Alhaji Ahmodu Umara, General Manager Borno state Environmental Protection Agency BOSEPA, General Manager Borno Road Traffic Management Agency BOTMA Engineer Baba Shehu Tijjani and other government officials were at the Press Centre to supervise the exercise.

The Permanent Secretary commended NUJ for observing the monthly exercise, assured to partner with the Union in promoting sanitation and hygiene practices.
In his address the General Manager BOSEPA Alhaji Abubakar Sulieman promised to support the Union with working tools to continue with the good work.
NUJ Chairman comrade Dauda said appreciate ministry for Environment and BOSEPA for the support, noting that the activity is part of responsive journalism and redeem the image of the Union.
