The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has conducted an inspection visit to accommodation facilities designated for pilgrims from Kano State in Makkah as part of early preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise

The inspection tour forms part of the board’s efforts to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to provide intending pilgrims from the state with safe, comfortable and well-organized accommodation during the forthcoming pilgrimage.

During the visit, Matawalle assessed the general condition of the facilities earmarked for the pilgrims, their proximity to the Masjid al-Haram, as well as the availability of essential services required to support the pilgrims throughout their stay in the holy city.

The Director General emphasized the need to maintain high standards in accommodation, welfare and logistics in order to guarantee a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for all intending pilgrims from Kano State.

He also held discussions with officials and service providers responsible for managing the facilities, stressing the importance of strict compliance with agreed standards and the timely completion of all necessary arrangements ahead of the Hajj season.
Matawalle reaffirmed the commitment of the board’s management to continuous monitoring and improvement of services to ensure that Kano State pilgrims receive adequate support and care throughout the 2026 Hajj operations.

According to him, the early inspection is part of a broader strategy by the board to strengthen operational readiness and enhance the overall Hajj experience for pilgrims from Kano State.

The visit, observers say, reflects the determination of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board to provide quality welfare services and ensure a hitch-free pilgrimage for all participants in the 2026 Hajj.
