Admin 4 weeks ago

The Alumni Association of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Alumni Association has invited graduates of the institution from 1982 to date to attend its forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) aimed at discussing key issues affecting the institution and the welfare of its members.

In a press release issued on March 5, 2026, the association said the meeting would bring together alumni and other stakeholders of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda to deliberate on matters critical to the development of the institution and the progress of its graduates.

According to the statement, every individual who has successfully completed a programme and obtained a certificate from the Polytechnic is regarded as an alumnus or alumna of the institution and automatically becomes a member of the Alumni Association.

The association explained that the AGM would serve as an important platform for interaction among former students, enabling them to exchange ideas and contribute to the advancement of their alma mater while also addressing issues affecting graduates.

Among the major issues expected to dominate discussions at the meeting is the lingering dichotomy between Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor’s Degree (BSc), a matter that has continued to generate concern among polytechnic graduates across the country.

Other topics listed for deliberation include funding challenges confronting the Polytechnic, the review and adoption of the Alumni Association’s constitution, as well as the growing unemployment challenges faced by graduates.

The meeting is also expected to examine additional matters aimed at strengthening the institution and improving the welfare of alumni members.
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Ahmad Asha Multipurpose Hall, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The statement, signed by the National President of the association, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura, and the Secretary General, Rimamyang Amos Igban, urged all alumni and stakeholders to attend and contribute meaningfully to discussions that will shape the future of the institution and its graduates.

The association expressed optimism that the gathering would strengthen the bond among alumni and enhance collective efforts toward supporting the growth and development of the Polytechnic.
