Gov Yusuf Warns Kano Commissioners Against Disloyalty, Information Leak

The Kano State Governor , Abba Kabir Yusuf, has warned members of the State Executive Council against acts of disloyalty, internal rivalry and the leaking of government information.

Yusuf issued the warning during the 38th meeting of the State Executive Council in Kano.

The Governor urged cabinet members to remain committed to the principles and objectives of his administration.

He said the era of rancour, disloyalty and actions capable of undermining government activities must come to an end.

The governor stressed the need for unity among members of the council, noting that they must work together to promote development and improve the welfare of residents of the state.

He explained that recent political and administrative developments informed the decision by him and other political stakeholders in the state to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as being in the best interest of Kano.

According to him, the decision followed consultations with members of the State Executive Council, lawmakers at both the state and national assemblies, as well as chairmen of the 44 local government areas.

Yusuf also disclosed that five commissioners had resigned following the political realignments, adding that their resignations had been accepted by the government.

The governor further appreciated the support received from the Federal Government under Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Progressive Governors Forum following the recent fire incident at Singer Market in Kano which destroyed goods worth billions of naira.
