The Oba Yoruba of Kano state, Ambassador Murtala Alimi Otisese, has called on Yoruba sons and daughters in Kano and worldwide to use the remaining days of Ramadan for intensive prayers for global peace and stability.

The Yoruba monarch, in a statement by his press secretary Prince Zakariyau Abdulrasheed Rotimi, specifically prayed for peace in conflict-ridden regions.

“These final days of Ramadan carry immense spiritual weight. I call on every Yoruba person to raise their voice in prayer for our brothers and sisters facing war,” Otisese said.

The Oba also expressed gratitude to the Kano State Government and Emir of Kano Mahammadu  Sanusi II, for their hospitality and protection of the Yoruba community.

“I urge the Yoruba community to intercede for global stability, specifically seek divine intervention for peace in Iran and other regions currently burdened by conflict and unrest.

“These final days of Ramadan carry immense spiritual weight; I call on every Yoruba person, wherever you are, to raise your voice in prayer for our brothers and sisters in all parts of the world facing the horrors of war. May peace reign supreme.”

“We are grateful for the atmosphere of brotherhood fostered by the State Government and the Emirate. Their leadership has ensured that we feel at home, and for this, we pray for their continued wisdom and the prosperity of Kano State.”

“The Palace wishes the entire Muslim Ummah a blessed conclusion to the fast and a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr in advance,” the Oba prayed.
