The First Lady of Jigawa State, Ambassador Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, received a rousing welcome from thousands of jubilant supporters and well-wishers upon her return from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where she had travelled to observe the lesser Hajj, also known as Umrah.

The atmosphere was festive as crowds thronged the reception venue to catch a glimpse of the First Lady, expressing joy and admiration for her safe return.

Women groups, youth organisations, and community leaders were among those who gathered in large numbers, chanting praises and offering prayers.

Ambassador Namadi, visibly delighted by the warm reception, expressed profound gratitude to the people for their unwavering support and prayers during her spiritual journey.

She described the pilgrimage as a deeply fulfilling experience, noting that it provided an opportunity to pray for peace, unity, and progress in Jigawa State and Nigeria at large.

“I am overwhelmed by this show of love and solidarity. I thank Almighty Allah for granting me a safe journey and return. I also appreciate the prayers and goodwill of our people,” she said.

She further urged citizens to continue to uphold values of unity, compassion, and mutual respect, stressing that such virtues are essential for societal growth and development.

The First Lady’s return marks the conclusion of her spiritual exercise in the holy land, as she resumes her engagements in supporting humanitarian and social development initiatives across the state.
