Admin 2 years ago

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has officially declared tomorrow, March 30, 2025, as the first day of Shawwal 1446AH, marking the end of Ramadan fasting in Nigeria.

This announcement follows the Sultanate Council’s meeting on Shawwal Moon sighting, where reports from various states and organizations confirmed the sighting of the new moon.

The Sultan urged Muslims nationwide to maintain their devotion to worshiping Allah SWT and pray for the country’s unity and prosperity. He extended his well wishes and happy Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebrations to all Muslims in the country.

With this declaration, Nigerian Muslims will join their counterparts worldwide in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr, a significant holiday in the Islamic calendar.

The celebration is marked with congregational prayers, family gatherings, charitable giving, and communal meals.

As Muslims prepare for Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, the Sultan’s announcement brings joy and relief, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
