Lack of adequate funds to boarding secondary schools across the Kaduna state is one of the factors hindering the improvement of education.
A cross-section of the Kufena college old boys association set 2005 made the statement during the first reunion meeting held at science secondary schools Kufena college Zaria.
Kufena college Zaria is one of the oldest colleges in Zaria and had produced many important dignitaries across the nation, among them is the late Abba Kyari chief of staff to Mr, president Muhammad Buhari, and some serving senators among others.
But presently the position of the school had become worrisome and needed urgent attention.
speaking to journalist the interim committee chairman Anas Muhammad Buhari Expressed his worry over the conditions of the school as well as the dilapidating structures and furniture.
Anas Muhammad Promised to assist the school to produce more changes to improve the standard of the school.
He appealed to the Kaduna state government to intensify efforts to review the current fund allocation and policies to provide more facilities in the college.
in a message the principal of science secondary school Kufena, Alhaji Ahmed Mahmud Ibrahim expressed hope that the reunion meeting of 2005 set had become an avenue to produce positive change in the college.
Alhaji Ahmed Mahmud attributed the lack of active leadership of the pioneer old boys association in the college as their major challenge.
Some old boys members who graduated in 2005 Zaharradeen Ibrahim and Nuel Emanuel Sanko promised to give their best to assist the college to face global challenges.
