Hajiya Firdausi Adamu Ibrahim (Gimbiya), Chief Executive Officer of Scottish Essential Skin Care Products and a philanthropist, has called on society—especially women—to stop body shaming, stressing that no human being is perfect, as perfection belongs only to Almighty Allah.
She made this call during the “HER 2026” Women Empowerment Programme, tagged International Women’s Blueprint, with the theme “Empower, Inspire and Lead.”
According to Hajiya Firdausi, the maiden edition of the annual event was organized to encourage both men and women to speak out and fight body shaming in society. She emphasized that every individual is uniquely and carefully created by the Supreme Being, who alone is perfect.
She further explained that the programme is aimed at enlightening, educating, and empowering women to bring about positive change in their communities. “The goal is to teach women how to fight body shaming, become independent, embrace tolerance, and boost their self-confidence,” she said.
In her remarks, the Chief Convener of the programme, Hajiya Aisha Ya Baa, expressed appreciation to participants and co-sponsors of the event, describing it as a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to educate people on better social relationships and community development.
Highlighting the impact of the programme, she disclosed that some participants received financial support of ₦1 million, others ₦500,000, while some benefited from ₦200,000 grants. She added that over 200 more women are expected to receive support under the initiative.
Hajiya Aisha Ya Baa also advised women to engage in regular exercise, eat healthy meals, and undergo routine medical checkups. She appreciated the presence of special guests of honour, including Hajiya Halima, wife of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, and the wife of the former Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
