The Wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Ambassador Dr. Amina Umar Namadi, has extended warm Ramadan greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Jigawa State, across Nigeria, and around the world, urging the faithful to embrace the spiritual essence of the holy month through acts of charity, compassion, and devotion.
In her Ramadan message made available to Time Express ,Ambassador Dr. Namadi congratulated Muslims on the successful commencement of the sacred month, describing Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to the teachings of Islam.
She called on wealthy individuals and well-meaning members of society to use the opportunity of the holy month to extend good gestures to the less privileged, emphasizing that such acts of generosity attract immense rewards from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala).
“Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food and drink; it is a time to demonstrate love, kindness, and empathy, especially to the needy and vulnerable in our communities,” she said.
“I urge those blessed with resources to support the less privileged, so that together we can share in the blessings and rewards promised by Allah.”
The Governor’s wife further stressed the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, and prayers for sustained peace and development in Jigawa State and Nigeria at large.
She encouraged Muslims to intensify prayers for their leaders and for divine guidance in governance and nation-building.
Ambassador Dr. Namadi also reminded the faithful to uphold the values of patience, humility, and gratitude throughout the fasting period, noting that Ramadan offers a unique opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation and moral upliftment.
She prayed that Allah (SWT) grants Muslims the strength to observe the fast with sincerity and devotion, accept their acts of worship, and shower His mercy and blessings upon Jigawa State, Nigeria, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
