The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has recorded a major boost in its membership base, enrolling 17,083 new members within seven days through its ongoing e-registration exercise.
The milestone was announced at the third coordination meeting of the APC Membership E-Registration Card exercise held on March 2, 2026, at the Government House in Dutse.

The meeting was presided over by the Wife of the Jigawa State Governor, Amina Umar Namadi, who commended participants for their dedication and commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
The session brought together 84 agents drawn from 13 local government areas across the state who actively participated in the enrollment exercise. The meeting reviewed overall performance, appreciated the efforts of the mobilizers, and recognized outstanding contributors to the success of the programme.

According to the report presented at the meeting, the agents collectively enrolled 17,083 members into the APC Membership E-Registration platform within one week.
The achievement was described as a reflection of effective coordination, teamwork, and strong grassroots mobilization.

In recognition of their efforts, the governor’s wife rewarded all participants. Female agents received wrappers and N20,000 each, while their male counterparts were given a bag of rice and N20,000 each.
The gesture, she noted, was aimed at motivating party mobilizers and encouraging sustained commitment to the party’s growth.

Special recognition was also accorded to top-performing agents. Adamu Bala from Roni Local Government Area emerged first after enrolling 1,774 members within the week. Abdulrahman Ayuba from Birnin Kudu LGA secured second position with 930 enrollees, while Baffa Arab Ibrahim from Jahun LGA came third with 843 registrations.
The trio received additional rewards, including bags of rice, cash prizes, and other special gifts.
The North-West Zonal Coordinator of the APC Membership E-Registration Card, Musa Muktar, was equally honoured for his supervisory role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise. He was presented with a 25kg bag of rice and a cash reward of N100,000.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Dr. Aisha Jamilu Danmalam, Chairlady of Jahun Local Government Area, and Dr. Salma Yusuf Wakili, popularly known as Momi Hannan.
In her remarks, Amina Namadi reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening party structures across Jigawa State, encouraging broader grassroots participation and rewarding excellence among party faithful. The meeting concluded with appreciation to all participants and prayers for unity and continued progress within the party
