The Secretary General of the Students Government Union, SUG of the Federal University Dutsinma, Comrade Muhammad Bello Gambo, has taken bull by the head as he pursued 5 Months unpaid NELFUND for his Colleagues at the Institution.
This is as the SUG Secretary General of the Federal University Dutsinma, Comrade Muhammad Bello Gambo, who led a delegation to the NELFUND headquarters in Abuja to formally present a complaint regarding the five-month delay in the payment of students’ upkeep allowances.
The delegation, which included the Speaker of the Student Parliament Rt. Hon. Seri Peter and the Financial Secretary, Comrd. Usman El_Bichi held discussions with NELFUND officials on the challenges currently faced by students.
The NELFUND officials warmly received the delegation and assured them that the matter would be handled amicably, with all outstanding payments to be resolved as soon as possible.
This huge efforts by the Secretary General and his Colleagues, has received commendations from across the Students of the University and indeed the Governing Council of the Institution.
Many described the actions of the SUG Secretary General as first of its kind, showing concerns for the well-being and welfare of his Students, and clearly indicating that his election as Sect Gen was a perfect action.
