Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Nuhu Dantani, father of Barrister Hamza Nuhu Dantani, a renowned human rights lawyer and activist.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Mustapha Muhammad on Friday.
Governor Yusuf described the late Alhaji Nuhu Dantani as a respected elder whose life was marked by dignity, strong moral values, and commitment to family and community.
The Governor noted that the deceased raised a son who has continued to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of justice and human rights, a reflection of the solid upbringing he received.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to Barrister Hamza Nuhu Dantani, the entire Dantani family, friends, and associates over the great loss.
Governor Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, while also granting the family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
