The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that all intending pilgrims from the state will be provided with three square meals daily during the 2026 Hajj operation, in a move aimed at enhancing the welfare and comfort of pilgrims.

The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, disclosed this while speaking with journalists at his office, noting that the initiative is fully funded by the state government under the leadership of Umar Namadi.

He explained that the feeding arrangement will cover all categories of pilgrims from the state, including those with special dietary requirements, ensuring that no participant is left out during the spiritual exercise.

According to the Director General, the initiative places Jigawa State ahead of others in terms of welfare provision for pilgrims, describing it as a landmark intervention that underscores the government’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens.

Labbo expressed appreciation to the state governor for what he described as unwavering support to the Board, adding that the gesture would significantly ease the challenges often faced by pilgrims, particularly in a foreign environment.

The Board, through its Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Babura, reiterated its readiness to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation, assuring that all necessary arrangements are being put in place to guarantee a hitch-free exercise for Jigawa pilgrims.
