Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf says ongoing political reconciliation efforts in the state have helped restore unity and peace among political leaders in Kano.
Governor Yusuf stated this while receiving the Emir of Kano Malam Mohammad Sanusi during a Sallah homage at the Kano Government House.
He said Kano had for a long time experienced divisions among prominent political figures, a situation he described as unhealthy for the development of the state and its people.
According to the governor, his administration adopted political wisdom and strategic dialogue to address the problem and promote understanding among leaders.
Governor Yusuf said the political approach adopted by his administration had led to peaceful coexistence and reconciliation among elders and influential personalities in the state.
He added that under the leadership of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, the government had succeeded in fostering unity and mutual understanding among stakeholders in Kano State.
In his remarks Emir of Kano Malam Muhammadu Sanusi urged the public to continue praying for the peaceful coexistence in the state.
