The Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Dr Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, says 160 children have been enrolled in various primary schools across Dala Local Government Area under the third edition of the Back-to-School Initiative.

Hashim disclosed this in a statement, saying the initiative was aimed at ensuring that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to basic education and the opportunity to begin schooling in a conducive environment.
He said the beneficiaries were provided with essential educational materials, including school uniforms, textbooks, school bags and shoes, to support their enrolment and participation in school.
The commissioner expressed appreciation to Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf for his efforts toward reducing the number of out-of-school children and improving access to quality education across Kano State.
He also commended individuals and organisations that contributed to the success of the initiative, urging continued support for programmes aimed at improving education and the welfare of children in the state.
