Kano Sharia Commission Launches 30,000 Copies of Islamic Calendar

The Kano State Sharia Commission has launched 30,000 copies of the Islamic Calendar for the year 1448 AH for distribution to Muslims across Kano State and beyond.

 

The calendar was launched at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

 

Speaking at the event, the Second Commissioner of the Kano State Sharia Commission, Sheikh Ali Dan Abba, said the initiative was aimed at benefiting Muslims in Kano, Nigeria and the wider world.

 

Dan Abba reiterated the directive of the Chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Abbas Abubakar Daneji, to representatives entrusted with the calendars to ensure that they were distributed to the appropriate beneficiaries free of charge.

 

He urged the representatives to ensure that the calendars reached members of the public who would benefit from them.

 

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the Kano State Governor, who represented Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf at the event, commended the Sharia Commission for its efforts toward promoting Islam and contributing to the development of society.

 

He urged members of the public, particularly those who received copies of the calendar, to make proper use of it to keep track of Islamic days and months.

 

The Chief of Staff also encouraged beneficiaries to make use of the religious and educational information contained in the calendar.
