Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state yesterday swore-in another Special Adviser.
He is Aminu Abubakar Alhaji, son of the Sardaunan Sokoto and former Minister of Finance and Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
In a statement signed by the special Adviser media and publicity to Governor Mohammad Bello said until his appointment, Alhaji was the Group Executive Director (Business Development and Finance) of Profile Group Limited, Abuja, Nigeria. Hitherto, he was the Managing Director of Profile Technologies Limited, Nigeria between 2000-2010.
Born February 5th, 1969, the new Special Adviser had his primary education at Corona School, Victoria Island, Lagos, from where he proceeded to
the Nigerian Military School, Zaria and later Rugby School, United Kingdom, where he completed his
secondary school. Afterwards he bagged a Bachelor degree in International Business at the European University Paris, France.
Eventually, he worked as an intern in procurement at Ferrosstaal AG, a multi billion dollar German-owned industrial services company between 1996-1997. On the completion of his apprenticeship, the company employed him as procurement, supervision and business development officer, a position he held until 2000.
Alhaji is married with three children.
