Eight (8) companies have bidded for construction and furnishing of rehabilitation centre for Occupational therapy of Psychiatry Department and Neuro – Modulation centre of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
The bidding took place during a tender opening at the board room of the hospital in the presence of representatives of private sector, civil society Organizations, professional bodies as well as top management of the hospital.
Representing the Chief Medical Director, Professor Abdurahma Abba Sheshe, The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Professor Auwal Umar Gajida said, the project is sponsored by Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG), saying that as part of the requirement by the law, Bereau of public procurement, an advert was placed on the national dailies on the 21st of February, 2022 and about 8 Companies submitted their proposals, which were opened at the expiration of the stipulated time.
The representative of the Assistant Director Procurement, Mal Aminu Umar, Chief Executive Officer Procurement said that, the opening of the tender is the first stage of the bid, while Technical Committee saddled with the responsibility will go through all the documents submitted by the companies, to ascertain the requirements for the award of the contract.
