The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano State Commad has deployed 1,530 personnel for the year 2022 Easter Special Patrol Operations in Kano State.
Mr Zubairu Mato, the State FRSC Sector Commander, said this in a statement on Thursday in Kano.
Mato further stated that four Ambulances, 23 patrol vehicles, one heavy duty tow truck as well as other operational equipment were deployed to facilitate effective smooth operations.
The Sector Commander noted that, the Easter special patrol operations commenced on 13 April to 20th April 2022.
CC Zubairu Mato assured the motorists that personnel from the Sector Command, eight units Commands , outpost, Zebra and road side clinic located along kano- Zaria road will work round the clock to ensure safety of lives and properties on the highway in Kano State.
He retreated that “Station officers in the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State are fully involved in the operations”.
Mr. Mato explained further that, the 1,530 personnel comprised of 993 regular Marshals and 537 Special Marshals were deployed on majo6 routes to ensure safe and smooth vehicular movement, traffic control as well as giving prompt attention to victims of road traffic crash within the period.
Mato warned drivers to desist from committing traffic offences such as driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol, dangerous overtaking, overloading, overspeeding, wrongful overtaking, under age driving and use of phone while driving.
