A 37 year old generator Engineer, Anthony Usihe lost his life after being trapped in a diesel reservoir at BUK road kofar Dan Agundi,Kano municipal local government area.
Narrating the incident,the public relations officer of Kano state fire service Saminu Yusif Abdullahi explained that,the agency received a distress from Sergent Salisu Inuwa of Sharada police division.
He said a rescue team was quickly mobilized to the scene where it was discovered that a man was trapped in a diesel reservoir.
Saminu Yusif said the Engineer was found in the diesel tank of a big generator set that supply electricity to a service antenna.
“Anthony entered the reservoir on his own with a Jerry can”
The public relations officer pointed out the the victim was evacuated unconscious and later confirmed dead by health officials.
He said investigations have commenced to unravel the mystery behind the incident as no one claimed to have seen the man before the unfortunate incident.
” His remains have been handed over to Sergent Salisu Inuwa of Sharada police division “
Recalled that in March 2022,five people lost their lives in a puddle trench, while digging sand to assist their friend in building a house at Yanlami village,Bichi local government area.
Similarly, another tragedy occured in may 2022 where two brothers Haruba and Adamu were trapped to death in a pit toilet,while trying to retrieve a GSM handset.
